Why join apeirum
🎯
Senior-only culture
Work alongside experienced engineers — no juniors to manage
🌍
Remote-first, CET
Real collaboration across Spain, not async lag
🤖
AI-leveraged engineering
Modern AI tooling so one senior does the work of several
🔑
End-to-end ownership
Own the stack, with the autonomy that comes with it
Who we hire

You'll fit right in if this sounds like you.

We hire experienced engineers who want to own their work, not consume a managed cloud someone else set up. If you like depth, autonomy, and shipping things that run in production, read on.

✓
You're senior — 5+ years, and you've run things in production
Not "deployed to it once" — you've operated systems, fixed them at 2am, and written the docs afterwards.
✓
You want ownership, not a ticket queue
You'd rather own infrastructure end to end than be one cog in a big managed-service machine.
✓
You're based in Spain and work CET
Fully remote, but we collaborate in real time — same working day, not async lag.
✓
You use AI to go faster, and still own the result
Modern AI tooling is part of how we work — under senior judgement, never on autopilot.

Simulation Engineer for Robotic Drive Systems Mechatronic EngineeringBarcelona · hybridClient rolePermanent employment View roleClose+

Build and evolve the simulation & visualization platform behind robotic drive systems for an established engineering company in Barcelona. An interdisciplinary generalist role — modelling, tooling and validation — for someone who works across mechanical, electrical, software and control, and communicates with everyone in between.

What you'll do

  • Develop, validate and maintain simulation models for robotic drive systems — motors, gearheads, sensors, controllers and mechanical loads
  • Build simulation workflows for drive performance, thermal behaviour, control response and system-level requirements
  • Improve model accuracy and usability, and visualise key drive-system parameters
  • Build the interfaces, dashboards and tools that make simulations usable for engineering teams

What we're looking for

  • A degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Control, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or closely related)
  • MATLAB and Python — both essential
  • Real hands-on simulation experience in any domain (CFD, FEM, thermal, electromagnetic, multibody, control…)
  • A true interdisciplinary generalist — breadth across engineering areas, not a single-domain specialist; not an exclusively-automotive background
  • Proactive, patient, strong communicator; based in Spain, Barcelona-commutable; professional English (German a plus)

Permanent employment, Barcelona-based. Target start around end of 2026 — no rush.

  • Investigate and remediate endpoint incidents; own endpoint vulnerability management with the CISO

What we're looking for

  • Strong Windows 10/11, Intune / Endpoint Manager, Configuration Manager, Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft 365 E5 Security & Compliance
  • Endpoint hardening and PowerShell scripting & automation
  • Several years in endpoint management / client security with an analytical, security-first mindset

You'd work in a small security team and help the business adopt the cloud safely. Barcelona-based hybrid, with occasional travel to Switzerland (5–10%).

What you'll do

  • Configure, maintain and develop the Azure security landing zone and security stack
  • Manage Entra ID, Conditional Access and PIM
  • Support application owners with secure cloud onboarding, architecture and development
  • Monitor and resolve cloud security findings with business owners, and close governance gaps

  • Enterprise Application / App Registration review, Azure Policy and landing-zone experience
  • 2nd/3rd-level Azure skills to help business applications adopt the cloud; Kubernetes a plus (deputy function)
