apeirum was built from a real proof point — not a pitch deck. Here's the story of how it started, what we stand for, and who's behind it.
In 2020, our founder built a full Swiss–Spanish engineering team remotely, across closed borders, during a pandemic. That wasn't a pitch — it was proof. In 2024, apeirum was founded to scale that proof into a service for other Swiss companies.
In 2020, Anja Hovorka was given an assignment most people would have pushed back on: build a software engineering team in Spain for a Swiss startup — while borders were closed, travel was banned, and nobody knew what remote work at scale even looked like.
She did it. The team shipped. The product moved. And the lesson was clear: with the right people, the right process, and real accountability on both sides, geography is not the problem everyone assumes it is.
apeirum wasn't founded as a theory. It was founded as a proven model — one that had already worked under the hardest possible conditions.
"With the right people, sharp focus, and ownership on both sides, distance stops being a problem — and starts becoming an advantage."
— Anja Hovorka, FounderWe connect Swiss and European companies with senior engineers from Spain who treat your product like their own. Not contractors filling seats. Not juniors dressed up as seniors. People who care about the outcome as much as you do — and are accountable when things go wrong.
We keep the model lean by design. Three services, no bloat, no junior staff handed the work after the pitch. The person who scopes it is the person who delivers it.
Headquartered in Lucerne, Switzerland with a tech hub in Spain. This isn't a geographic coincidence — it's the core of what we offer: Swiss-grade accountability and quality standards, delivered at the speed and cost that Spanish engineering talent makes possible.
Most of our clients are Swiss. They know what quality looks like. They chose us because we deliver it — at a fraction of the cost.
We treat clients and colleagues with the same directness and care. That includes being honest when something isn't working — not just when things are going well.
Your team and our team are one team. We don't operate as a vendor sitting outside the process — we sit inside it, in your tools, your standups, your workflow.
We follow through. Every time. Dedication isn't a value we aspire to — it's a baseline we hold ourselves and every engineer in our network to.
Everyone who works through apeirum owns their output. Not "we tried" — we delivered, or we fix it. That applies to engineers, to delivery leads, and to us.
We're not trying to be a 500-person agency. Every person in our network was chosen because they take ownership seriously — and every engagement reflects that. Quality over scale, every time.
Tell us what you're trying to solve. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help — and how.
